Equine Facilitated Learning
Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) is a hands-on, experiential approach to learning that incorporates horses, nature, and guided activities to create meaningful opportunities for reflection, growth, and connection. Participants work alongside our equine partners through activities on the ground—no riding or previous horse experience is required. Horses become active members of the learning experience, offering unique opportunities to practice communication, problem-solving, responsibility, awareness, and connection in a supportive environment.
At Elm Farm Learning Center, our EFL programs are designed for a variety of ages, abilities, and groups, including children, adults, individuals with disabilities, families, schools, and community organizations. Each program is thoughtfully designed around the needs of its participants, creating opportunities to develop real-world skills, discover strengths, and build meaningful connections with horses, others, and themselves.
